Built On Solid Foundations

The Leaders of Dewitt

Todd Saieed and Ven Poole, second generation family friends and industry leaders, joined forces in 1997 to form the Raleigh-based real estate development corporation known as Dewitt Carolinas. Saieed and Poole have built their business on a legacy of honesty, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail—qualities embodied by Saieed’s paternal grandfather, Dewitt Jernigan Carr, who lends his name to the business. His legacy, combined with the entrepreneurial spirit of Saieed’s and Poole’s fathers, forms the backbone of the Dewitt Carolinas culture and the springboard for the company’s success.

Saieed and Poole’s combined 60 years of business experience is reflected in the reputation and standard of excellence associated with the Dewitt brand, which is exemplified in a diversified real estate portfolio of commercial, multi family, industrial, and mixed use projects. Dewitt has assembled a talented team of professionals with experience that spans all aspects of the development, construction, leasing, and property management process.

Prolific and accomplished over the past 25+ years, Dewitt has successfully developed over 200 real estate projects throughout the Carolinas. In 2005, under the direction and leadership of Saieed and Poole, Dewitt earned the number one spot in the Triangle Business Journal’s Fast 50.

Whether it’s a Class A office building, an upscale multifamily development, a mixed use resort community, high end student housing, or a 10-year, $1 billion masterplanned mixed-use community, the Dewitt team brings trendsetting innovation and the pursuit of excellence to every project.
